INTERESTING TURNOUT
Recently, a school in North Carolina held a mock election. The results were quite interesting. When you have kids filling out ballots for their "choice" for political offices, you never know what you are going to get. Many times, you can get an idea of how an election will really turn out based upon the way the students voted. After all, they listen to what their parents say, and normally mark their "ballots" in the way their parents will.
Here are the results:
For President
Barack Obama (D) - 0%
John McCain (R) - 90%
Bob Barr (L) - 0%
(Interestingly enough, several asked if they could just vote for Sarah Palin.)
US Senate
Elizabeth Dole (R) - 60%
Kay Hagan (D) - 10%
Christopher Cole (L) - 0%
US House of Representatives, District 13
Brad Miller (D) - 40%
Hugh Webster (R) - 40%
North Carolina Governor
Bev Perdue (D) - 0%
Pat McCrory (R) - 80%
Michael Munger (L) - 10%
Lt. Governor
Walter Dalton (D) - 0%
Robert Pittenger (R) - 70%
Rhodes (L) - 10%
NC Attorney General
Bob Crumley (R) - 80%
Roy Cooper (D) - 0%
In other state offices the students of this particular school voted for the GOP candidates. Personally, I would rather have seen some of the "voting" turn out different. Many kids are already thinking, like their parents that one party is good while the other is evil. Fact: both are evil, and neither can be trusted. Some of the GOP candidates can't be trusted to be dog catchers. Some of the Democrats are actually honorable people.
Just remember my advice: vote against incumbents next Tuesday.
